Book a time slot for passing through the security check now - and avoid long waiting times!

Using your reservation, you can proceed directly to the signposted and separate Smart Lane checkpoint during the specified time slot, in Terminal 2, Departures. Once there, please have your boarding pass ready. Your slot reservation will be checked automatically at the boarding pass checkpoint.

This service is free of charge.

 

Info: Access and opening hours

Access to the security checkpoint for travellers with a Smart Lane slot reservation is located exclusively in Terminal 2, Departures. From there you can also reach the gates in Terminal 1 and 3. The opening hours are from 4 am to 7 pm.

Good to know

  • You must comply with the booked time slot for passing through the security check. Please arrive on time during this period.
  • Reservations for flights within the Schengen area can be made at least 48 hours to 60 minutes before your scheduled departure. For non-Schengen flights with required passport control, the last bookable time slot for the security check is 90 minutes before departure.
  • To book a slot, you will need your flight number, an e-mail address and your name.
  • The security checks in the other terminals are also at your disposal at all hours.
  • You can make reservations for up to 5 people.
  • Please ensure sufficient time for check-in and baggage drop-off before the security check.
  • The slot for this service can only be booked using the form on this website. For changes or cancellations, please use the link in your confirmation email. 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why am I not shown a suitable time slot for my flight?

The number of time slots available is limited and may be fully booked at the desired time. In this case, please use the regular open security checkpoint in Terminals 1, 2, 3 or 4.

What happens if I miss my time slot?

You have booked a 15-minute time slot for direct access to the security checkpoint. Please arrive punctually at the reserved time. If you arrive at the Smart Lane access point too early or too late, access cannot be guaranteed. The regular security check is available to you outside of this time slot. In this case, it is no longer possible to use the Smart Lane without re-booking.

What is the last time slot I can use for the Smart Lane?

The last bookable period is 1 hour before the scheduled departure. Subsequent bookings or time slots are not possible.

Can I change or cancel a slot?

You will receive a link with your booking confirmation that you can use to change or cancel your reservation.

How can I book a Smart Lane slot for more than 5 passengers?

One person can only book a slot for a total of 5 travellers. For more than 5 passengers, another booking must be made in the name of another traveller.

Can I, for example, get through at this checkpoint with a wheelchair?

As with the other automated boarding pass control gates, buggies and wheelchairs do not fit through the checkpoint. Please use the manual boarding pass checkpoints at the regular security checkpoints.

Can I, for example, get through this checkpoint with a child seat?

You can carry a child seat in the same way as items of baggage that are permitted by the airline.
